Breaking the rules in Jamming, Ester Momblant Ribas
About masterclass: | All levels. Breaking rules is an invitation to play with expecting the unexpected while dancing, to add freshness and challenge in the partnering, to keep constant awareness of your partner by awakening each other’s listening. A space and time where one is allowed to change their mind; where the rules (the own ones, the unsaid ones, the expected ones) are there to be broken. Enjoy the game of breaking the rules.
Jamming Contact is an occasion for adding creativity to the dance while practicing CI in a JAM. Discover own tools and alternative concepts to enter the space with the information that already exists in it.
What inspires me? What can I give continuity to? What calls my attention? To perceive and detect the elements that inspires me from my surrounding. To use this focus as a creative source, allowing it to trace my dance path through the space and, in this way, allowing it to generate meetings with others in the Jam.
How to start, o even more difficult, how to end a dance? Recognise and allow the inner or outer reaction when a solo, a duo, a dance starts; when it develops, when it gets interrupted, when it changes, when it ends, etc.
