The Third Teacher, Alexander Girshon and Angela Doni
About masterclass: | There was a great dance teacher.
One day an imperator came to know about him.
The imperator was intrigued an did everything he could to see the dancer.
He set off to the place, were he could possibly meet the dancer. He waited for several month. When he was out of patience and got bored and was very nearly leaving suddenly something changed. The wind moved the cane, a refreshing rain started, there appeared a rainbow. Something beautiful happened in the nature. There was dance, but there was no dancer.
At a certain moment, when practicing together and teaching people how to improvise, we found a third teacher among us.
This teacher enables us to stay in contact for a long time; he helps to reveal the diverse and the unknown in what seemed to be familiar to us.
This teacher is the dance itself.
No matter how long we practice it is only the dance that can teach us the way to go beyond our limitations and to become openness itself, presence itself and – dance itself.
We will create, search, and investigate the dance as it is. We will look for the conditions it requires to dawn. We will see how much time, space and energy we need so that as a result, the time, space and energy should no longer be of any significance, only the dance remaining relevant.
We will chase the dance using the body, the technique and the intrigue of the practice.
