«Listening to Each Other: Improvised Music and Contact Improvisation»

About master-class:

Level: all levels.
We’ll work together to study the interactions between improvising dancers and improvising musicians. We’ll be looking for moments in our improvisations to stop and notice each other’s activities. How can dancers and musicians support each other’s imagination and concentration? How much surprise is acceptable? What are our intentions? Can we accept variety and diversity and stay engaged and build trust? How free are the dancers? How free are the musicians? Is any music o.k.?
